So I would say your pistol was in police service. It is a small spring which guards against accidental deactivation or activation of the safety lever. Is the oakleaf and acorn motif carried to the magazine bottom also?Īre you certain it is in 6.35mm and not 7.65mm? The reason I ask is that the first photo shows the gold wash safety, but also the small piece of metal below and between the safety and the grip plate.
But no name or initials are present? It appears the safety and trigger are gold washed? Very nice. Of course the inscription on the front of the slide indicates that it was a Gift of Honor in 1933. It is a Sauer Model 1913, made well before WWII. Jeff, I am sorry I didn't see this thread until now.
